Portable Golf Launch Monitor

Date: December 2025

Project Overview: As part of my engineering capstone project, I was part of a six-member team that designed and developed a portable golf launch monitor over an eight-month development cycle, covering system design, prototyping, testing, and refinement.

The goal was to deliver an affordable, data-driven coaching solution for novice to intermediate golfers. The system uses a high-speed vision pipeline and embedded processing to capture ball and club motion, with key performance metrics delivered through a mobile application.

A major focus of the project was accessibility and usability, converting complex motion data into clear, actionable feedback that helps users understand and improve their swing without the cost or complexity of professional-grade launch monitors.
